| I'm cute. That's all for today.

| I got a new job! Not the one previously mentioned. I got my first rejection letter with that one! I'm going back to what I love doing....serving. I know it sounds awful for a college grad to be waiting tables, but my music is important to me and I need a job in town. Speaking of my music, the band played an AWESOME gig on Saturday night. So awesome that the manager will probably offer us an every Friday night spot. Yay! So, the new job is at a place called Blackhorse Pub and Brewery. They make their own beer and they're always busy. AND, I know the manager, so I'm already in good. I can't wait to give my bitch of a boss my two week notice! My cats are great; Judas is living up to her name. She tries to sneak out of the house all the time. Where's Jesus when you need him? More later.... | | |
| I played hookey from work today because I just can't seem to motivate myself to go to my mind-numbing shit hole of a job. That being said, it paid off. At 9:30 this morning, my phone rang. It was the local newspaper calling me in to interview for the District Sales Manager position I applied for last week. It's a pretty sweet deal: Full-time, full benefits, paid vacations, blah blah blah. The only bad part is that it starts at 2 a.m.! However, I think I can adjust because if I get this, I'll be making 3 and 1/2 times more a month than I'm making now. Everyone will get Christmas presents this year! If not, sorry Luke. Speaking of little Lukey, I got a fantastic drunk dial from him last night. The message is hilarious. Off to get pretty for my interview! | | |
| I met Journey and Def Leppard this weekend. What did you do? | | |
| Went to Hendersonville today for a Father's Day cookout at Dad's with Adam. It went much better than we both expected. It's hard sometimes for the two of us to know what to say and how to act around him since his stroke. I think we both feel a little awkward because he didn't really get a chance to see the paths we took as we grew older, but we do our best. Didn't have band practice today 'cause the drummer is a daddy, so we let it slide so he could spend the day with his little girl. We finally have all of our studio equipment ready. Phil (bass player) just bought us a brand new computer to use as well, so everything should be up and running by next weekend. Too bad Brad isn't here to help us mix things down. Hmmmm, maybe since he's so cool and all he might let me send him the tracks so he can play around with them. It's an idea. Did some laundry and some dishes, watched the Simpsons (2 episodes in a row!), and I'm looking forward to my day off so I can watch Lady and the Tramp (I TiVoed it last night because Sgt. Tucker and his Lonely Heart's Club Band didn't want to watch it). The weather is crappy. Rainy and humid....yuck. Well, Happy Father's Day to my fave relative! Here's dad and me:
